This material is made from HDPE plastic bottle tops, as well as discarded hangers and buckets. This durable, terrazzo-like material is sourced through a local Indonesian waste program incentivising the public to collect recyclable goods and waste.

USAGE This material can be for indoor and outdoor use. Ideal for furniture top surfaces such as table tops, benches, seats and as panels cladding. It is not recommended for food-prep areas (ie kitchen bench tops).

CHARACTERISTICS  As this is a recycled product with significant manual resources required, each piece will vary in colour and pattern. Please expect a 10-15% colour difference/variation as each piece will not be 100% identical, much like how 2 marble slabs will never be identical.  Please expect some small bubbles and imperfections. This applies for multiple items in the same order, as well as different/separate orders. The website images should be used as reference only as the actual tones/colours may differ slightly.

 Items over 60cm diameter will be in 2 pieces. Grain variation will be different per slab side, and join may be visible.

FINISH Our recycled plastic table tops and panels are finished with a food-grade silicone oil. Any scuffs or scratches over time can be sanded out and silicone oil reapplied.

CARE This material is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

*Recycled plastics should be cared in a similar manner to solid natural materials such as solid wood and stone. It is recommended to wipe spills immediately, they should not be left overnight and/or for long periods of time. Please use a combination of mild soap and water to clean the surface. Use a soft cloth to wipe the surface, and do not use any metal scrubbers. If you use a detergent it needs to be non-corrosive, and suitable for cleaning plastics.

*Hot coffee mugs can be placed on this surface, but burning hot saucepans should not be placed on the surface as it can melt the plastic. Coasters and placemats are recommended.

*Any scuffs or scratches over time can be sanded out and silicone oil reapplied.
